Morris County Pathways of History Weekends

2026 Dates: Sunday, May 3rd & Saturday, October 3rd

The Morris County Pathways of History weekend occurs the first weekend of May and the first weekend of October. We are usually open only one day of the weekend at this time. Each year and Spring and Fall will differ. The days are set by the County Historical Society. Please see our Facebook Group page for regular updates.

For this event, we typically open the Henry Doremus Dutch Stone House Museum, 490 Main Road, Towaco from 11 AM until 4 PM. Many docents dress in period costume, Colonial. In the future, we may also open the Schoolhouse Museum.

The day consists of docent led tours and other planned activities which vary by opening and may include; additional 18th century artifacts, archeological finds from previous archeological digs on the property, jamless fireplace discussions, and more.
